One common reason for couples breaking up is because they can’t agree on anything. Disagreements nearly always lead to arguments, there are many reasons as to why they occur.
Anything at all can be the source of the argument, from small issues to big decision making. Arguments are less likely to ever be resolved if both partners are generally stubborn too as neither will want to give in.
The constant arguing soon becomes too much for one or both sides of the couple and the relationship soon breaks down. It is possible to get back with your ex if your relationship has broken down for a similar reason but it will require compromise from both of you.
Providing that you are happy to arrange some sort of compromise, you and your ex should meet up and discuss how you can meet in the middle. This means that your ex is more likely to want to compromise with you too and will be more willing to want to sort things out.
If your ex agrees to compromise for you also then there’s no reason why you can’t get back together and carry on with your lives. If however your ex doesn’t want to compromise with you and just wants you to do anything they say then it will not be a very good situation.
You don’t want to change who you are just to be with someone. If they won’t make changes for you then not only are they a control freak but they almost certainly don’t love you.
Not being able to agree on things does not mean you will never be able to get your ex back at all. All it takes is compromise from both of you. You cannot do all the changing though, if your ex refuses to compromise then the future of the relationship seriously needs to be questioned.
